WHO WE ARE
We are the first youth-led movement in Africa targeted at inclusion of children ages 5-15 in climate risk communities on fun upcycling - using waste materials, sustainable waste management & climate change education.
OUR GOAL
o Transition at least 4000 children in Africa into climate change ambassadors by 2022
o Equip every child in climate risk communities with waste value upcycling skills, ESD particularly Climate Change
o Expand our reach to 10 more African countries by 2030
o Raise the next generation of environmentally responsible leaders for a greener Africa and planet

OUR FOUNDER
Joy Chiadika-Nwaeze is an environmentalist, a climate change advocate, and a sustainability expert with keen interest in building sustainable and climate-resilient communities in Nigeria and in Africa.
With experience leading projects in Nigeria, Joy leads and supports organizations to implement capacity building programmes to tackle energy poverty, climate change, and environmental sustainability and in February 2021, she founded the Community-Kid Upcycle Africa initiative to build children in climate vulnerable communities capacity on climate resilience, waste management, upcycling, and sustainability in a creative way which has so far had impact with 4 communities and over 1000 children.
